Support for accessing services
A GP or Paediatrician referral is not required to access OT. Referrals from parents, allied health professionals, teachers and preschool educators are all accepted. I'm happy to assist you to determine what financial assistance you may be eligible for.
The information below should be used as a general guide only, please contact me if you have any questions.

NDIS
The National Disability Insurance Scheme provides funding for supports and services for eligible people who have a disability. Please visit their website for more information.
Ready Set Grow can only accept NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed.

MEDICARE
As a registered Medicare provider, eligible children can obtain the following, which can be used within payment for Occupational Therapy sessions at Ready Set Grow. These grant access to a partial reimbursement of a limited number of occupational therapy services.

Chronic Disease Management Plan
Speak to your child's GP about their eligibility for the Chronic Disease Management Plan (formerly, Enhanced Primary Care Plan). Eligible children can receive up to five medicare subsidised sessions per calendar year.

Medicare Item 135
For children with an autism diagnosis, speak to your Paediatrician about eligibility for the Helping Children with Autism Initiative Medicare item. Up to 20 sessions can be claimed for children under the age of 15 years.

PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE
If your family has extras cover that includes Occupational Therapy, you may be entitled to a rebate from your health fund.
Please check the specifics of your policy with your insurer to find out if you are eligible.
Please note I do not use HICAPS, so rebates will need to be self-claimed using the invoice provided following your child's therapy session or assessment.
